The McKenna Program is an interdisciplinary partnership between The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, W. P. Carey School of Business and Barrett, The Honors College at ASU. Recognized as one of the top honors colleges in the nation, Barrett provides highly motivated students with exceptional possibilities for research, internships and study abroad.

Step 1: Apply to ASU and declare your primary major.
Make sure to select one of the identified degree options for the McKenna Program:
Prospective students should apply to ASU at least four weeks before the Barrett, The Honors College deadline.
Step 2: Apply to the McKenna Program.
Students interested in the McKenna Program must first apply to ASU and then may begin the separate program application.
Once you’ve completed your ASU application, you can apply to the McKenna Program. Make sure to carefully review program and application requirements. To be considered for the McKenna Program, you must also apply to Barrett, The Honors College.
Important deadlines
November 1, 2026: Early action application
January 15, 2026: Regular decision
March 15, 2027: Late consideration.
